Actress Amrita Rao marked the 22nd anniversary of the comedy drama “Masti,” released in 2004, by reminiscing about the film on Instagram. She portrayed an overly possessive wife named Aanchal, humorously labeled as “antenna” by her on-screen husband Vivek Oberoi. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film also featured Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and others as it followed a story of marital discontent and mistaken identities.
Amrita Rao, known for her girl-next-door roles, made her debut in 2002 with “Ab Ke Baras” and gained popularity with films like “Ishq Vishk” and “Main Hoon Na.” Her success continued with movies such as “Vivah,” “Welcome to Sajjanpur,” and the National award-winning “Jolly LLB.” Transitioning to television, she appeared in the soap opera “Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai.”
In her personal life, Amrita married radio jockey Anmol in 2016 after seven years of courtship. They welcomed their son, Veer, in 2020, and jointly authored a book titled “Couple of Things” in February 2023.
