Anahat looks forward to qualifying through the Asian Games and remains determined even if that route is not successful.
In a significant achievement, the 18-year-old Delhi player ended Egypt’s dominance in the girls’ event by defeating Ruqayya Salem to secure the World Junior Squash Championships title. Anahat is focusing on the Asian Games, viewing it as a chance to secure a direct entry to Los Angeles 2028 by winning the gold medal. She approaches this challenge with a positive mindset, aiming to perform at her best without added pressure.
Anahat acknowledged the difficulty of managing expectations at a young age but credited her family for providing crucial support. She emphasized the importance of concentrating on her training and game rather than external pressures. Anahat’s experience competing against top players on the PSA Tour has been instrumental in her development and confidence, preparing her for the junior world title.
Guided by former world No.1 Gregory Gaultier, Indian squash legend Saurav Ghosal, and the national coaching setup, Anahat highlighted the support that has contributed to her success.
