In a bid to increase population growth in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a cash incentive of Rs 30,000 for the third child and Rs 40,000 for the fourth child. The money will be provided to parents immediately after the birth of the child. This announcement was made during a public meeting in Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district as part of the ‘Swachhandhra-Swarnandhra’ program.

Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of children as assets and highlighted the need to focus on their well-being. He expressed concerns over declining population levels and mentioned plans to introduce a special action plan to address this issue. The Chief Minister also revealed the upcoming launch of an initiative called ‘Children Are Wealth’ to underscore the significance of population management.

Acknowledging the impact of reduced birth rates on economies and demographics, Chandrababu Naidu stressed the need to view children as a valuable resource for the nation. He outlined efforts to enhance the birth rate through the Population Management Policy and emphasized the strengthening of Anganwadi centers to support mothers and children with nutritious food.
