Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu revealed plans to create labour ‘addas’ throughout the state to enhance workers’ skills. Initially, 15 centers will be launched in key cities and towns. These ‘addas’ will evolve into skill development hubs, offering workers opportunities to enhance their capabilities.
New ESI hospitals are also on the agenda, with locations like Achyutapuram, Guntur, Kurnool, Sri City, and Amaravati being considered to enhance workers’ healthcare facilities. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the government’s dedication to the state’s progress, paralleling the relentless efforts of the workers. He reiterated the Telugu Desam Party’s commitment to supporting workers, farmers, and underprivileged families, aiming to empower their children to become entrepreneurs.
Moreover, welfare initiatives for workers include financial aid for various purposes such as marriage, childbirth, natural death, and funeral expenses. The government also provides access to four labor courts for dispute resolution. Chandrababu Naidu stressed that the government views welfare spending as a responsibility rather than a burden, finding satisfaction in the populace’s well-being.
In other developments, progress is reported on the Machilipatnam Port project, with the aim to complete it by December this year. The Chief Minister highlighted significant investments flowing into the state, including a substantial data center investment by Reliance and interest from companies like Google. He commended the reforms in Panchayati Raj and education sectors, attributing improved Class 10 results to educational reforms.
Critiquing the opposition, Chandrababu Naidu accused them of past destructive governance and claimed that the current administration has been reconstructing systems over the last 22 months.
