Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu encouraged farmers to confront the difficulties posed by the El Nino phenomenon affecting regular rainfall. He extended his wishes to farmers on Eruvaka Pournami, marking the start of the new farming season. Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu also urged farmers to bravely face the challenges of El Nino.
In a message, the Chief Minister highlighted that farmers traditionally perform the Eruvaka ritual on Jyeshtha Shuddha Pournami, where they worship the land and livestock, aligning themselves with nature. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his hope for abundant harvests in farmers’ homes and emphasized the importance of natural farming practices for land and health preservation.
The Chief Minister assured that the coalition government is committed to bolstering the agricultural sector. Through initiatives like Annadatha Sukhibhava, the government has disbursed PM Kisan funds to support farmers. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his optimism that farmers can overcome challenges like El Nino and global conditions by adhering to government advice and guidelines.
Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu visited the Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada to pray for the prosperity of the state’s farming community. He reassured farmers about the ample availability of fertilizers and seeds for the upcoming Kharif season. The Minister emphasized the government’s readiness to provide all necessary aid and support to farmers during the cultivation period.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also conveyed his greetings to farmers on Eruvaka Purnami, underscoring the festival’s significance in celebrating the bond between humanity and nature. He reiterated the government’s dedication to farmer welfare and agricultural advancement, citing the direct deposit of PM Kisan-Annadatha Sukhibhava funds into farmers’ accounts. Pawan Kalyan expressed hopes for timely rains and prosperous harvests for all farmers.
