Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai to talk about tiger conservation efforts in the Eastern Ghats. Kalyan, who was in Delhi for a medical check-up, expressed gratitude to Maharashtra for supporting the translocation of two female tigers to Andhra Pradesh.
The leaders had fruitful discussions on enhancing tiger conservation in the Eastern Ghats region. Kalyan, also the Minister for Forests and Environment, emphasized the importance of genetic diversity and the long-term sustainability of the tiger population in the area. He praised Maharashtra’s assistance in this conservation initiative.
Kalyan highlighted the significance of introducing female tigers to address genetic issues and boost the tiger population in the Eastern Ghats. He expressed confidence in the partnership between Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra for the conservation of tigers. Kalyan also acknowledged Union Minister Bhupender Yadav for his support and guidance in this conservation endeavor.
