Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to discuss ongoing issues in the state. Kalyan described the meeting as meaningful and highlighted discussions on various important public and administrative matters. He expressed gratitude to Shah for allowing the Kakinada district administration to present a proposal on the Uppada sea protection wall to the Technical Advisory Committee of the National Disaster Management Authority.
Pawan Kalyan also had a meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to address the enhancement of rail infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. The discussions focused on the development of Pithapuram Railway Station, the construction of a Road Over Bridge, and other significant railway projects in the state. Kalyan proposed the development of Pithapuram as a model station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and the construction of the Road Over Bridge under the PM Gati Shakti program.
During the meeting with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Pawan Kalyan expressed satisfaction with the positive and constructive atmosphere of the discussions. He appreciated Vaishnaw’s receptiveness to the proposals and his commitment to consider them thoroughly. Kalyan acknowledged the continuous development efforts of Indian Railways under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and thanked Vaishnaw for his support towards railway development in Kakinada district and the entire state.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review of railway projects in Andhra Pradesh during a meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati. The review encompassed rail connectivity from various ports in the state and from neighboring states like Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was attended by senior officials from South Central Railway, East Coast Railway, and South Coast Railway.
