Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called on individuals to uphold dharma conscientiously. Amid the controversy surrounding the alleged adulteration of ghee in the sacred Tirupati laddu, the Jana Sena leader emphasized the dharmic duty of Hindus. Kalyan highlighted the need for devotees to voice concerns when Hindu deities or dharma are disrespected intentionally.
Kalyan stressed the unity of dharma despite societal divisions based on caste, creed, region, or language. He emphasized the collective responsibility to speak out against deliberate mockery of dharma and faith. The actor-politician underscored the importance of protecting Hindu dharma without being antagonistic towards other beliefs.
The Deputy CM utilized hashtags like ‘no ghee in TTD laddu’ and ‘Sanatana Dharma Raksha Board’ to address the issue. Alongside Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other officials, Kalyan refuted claims that the previous government received a clean chit in the Tirupati laddu adulteration case. He cited CBI findings indicating the absence of milk fat in the laddus, alleging the use of chemical substances instead of ghee.
Naidu further alleged that the Tirupati laddu was made using ghee produced from chemicals typically used for cleaning purposes. Accusing the opposition of tarnishing the sanctity of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, he criticized the alleged adulteration of the prasadam. The recent developments followed demands from the YSR Congress Party for apologies from Naidu and Kalyan after CBI reports confirmed the absence of animal fat in the laddus.
