Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that the state is ahead of others in producing green energy. Plans are in place to generate 160 gigawatts of power in the green energy sector, with agreements already signed for 100 gigawatts. Naidu made these remarks while inaugurating Hero MotoCorp’s “Global Parts Centre 2.0” in Satyavedu, Tirupati district.
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to boost industrial growth by implementing ‘Speed of Doing Business’ protocols. He emphasized the state’s infrastructure readiness, including road, rail, port, and air connectivity to meet industrial demands. Naidu also mentioned the government’s focus on providing water for industries while involving farmers in the state’s development.
Naidu assured that the government is not only signing agreements but also taking necessary steps to facilitate industries in starting production. He mentioned ongoing initiatives to support companies like Google in setting up data centers in Visakhapatnam. The Chief Minister encouraged the company to proceed with the planned Rs 3,200 crore investment for plant expansion.
Pointing out that 40% of Hero’s workforce comprises women, Naidu praised the hardworking nature and quick learning abilities of Andhra Pradesh’s women. He urged the company to move forward with the plant expansion project as announced earlier.
