Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board sanctioned proposals for 50 companies, totaling ₹30,515 crore, aiming to create 29,677 job opportunities in the state. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, during the 18th SIPB meeting, stressed the importance of ensuring that the benefits of industrial growth reach all sections of society, particularly the poor and middle-class families.
Naidu highlighted the need to establish an inclusive industrial environment in Andhra Pradesh, enabling broader participation in business beyond just affluent entrepreneurs. He urged officials to focus on supporting startups and leveraging government innovation initiatives to attract venture capital for emerging businesses. The Chief Minister also emphasized aligning educational curricula with the evolving industrial landscape, advocating for the inclusion of advanced technology courses like robotics to equip students for future industry demands.
In a bid to boost ethanol production and reduce reliance on imported fuels, Naidu emphasized the significance of expanding ethanol industries. He also called for increased emphasis on biofuel industries, semiconductor manufacturing, Lithium-ion battery production, and renewable energy projects, aligning with the government’s push for green energy generation. Additionally, Naidu directed efforts towards developing power infrastructure to meet the state’s goal of producing 160 GW of green energy and establishing a Micro-Irrigation Equipment Park to support farmers and promote horticulture and floriculture sectors.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for an automated approval system for industrial projects to minimize political interference and ensure transparent processes. He also underscored the importance of developing an ecosystem around the proposed Quantum Valley in Amaravati, focusing on technology parks and quantum computing equipment manufacturing. Naidu highlighted the state’s growing automobile sector, emphasizing the need to accelerate the establishment of a fifth-generation fighter jet facility and envisioning the region as a major Defense and aerospace corridor.
