An Anganwadi centre in a remote village of Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district, previously housed in an old and unsafe building, has been relocated to a new structure. This move, prompted by Guna Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, ensures the safety of children attending the facility. During a recent visit, Scindia was alarmed by the poor condition of the old building, which posed risks to the children’s lives.
Scindia, upon learning about the unsafe conditions, directed the Guna district administration to act swiftly. Expressing concern over the potential dangers the dilapidated structure posed to children and women at the Anganwadi centre in Bawrikheda Gram Panchayat, he emphasized the need for immediate action. The Minister’s proactive approach led to the successful relocation of the centre to a new, secure building, as confirmed by his public relations department.
Following Scindia’s instructions, officials coordinated the relocation process, ensuring that the Anganwadi centre now operates in a safer environment. The Minister stressed the importance of public safety and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards negligence in such matters. He also called for accountability measures to prevent similar incidents in the future and urged strict actions when necessary.
