Senior theatre artist and film actor Anil Rastogi has been chosen for the esteemed Padma Shri award for his remarkable dedication to acting and theatre over the years. In an interview, Rastogi expressed his joy at receiving this honor, highlighting his extensive involvement in films, web series, theatre, and social service.
Rastogi, who also has a background in science and previously worked as a scientist at the Central Drug Research Institute, emphasized his long-standing commitment to the arts. He mentioned completing his 100th play after 64 years in the industry, showcasing his versatility across various media platforms such as radio, theatre, television, and film.
Beyond his on-screen and on-stage accomplishments, Rastogi, together with his brother, operates the Hari Om Seva Kendra, a service center aiding the underprivileged with medical assistance for the past 27 years. Through this initiative, they facilitate access to essential medical resources like injections, blood, ambulance services, and dialysis kits for those in need.
