Hollywood actor Glen Powell, known for his role in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, will play Fox McCloud in ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’. Powell revealed this news through an Instagram video, surprising fans of the Nintendo character. Fox McCloud, a space pilot from the ‘Star Fox’ games, will join Mario and Luigi in the movie.
Powell, who recently starred in ‘How to Make a Killing’ and ‘Running Man’, gained fame with his role in ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. The upcoming movie will see Chris Pratt and Charlie Day returning as Mario and Luigi, alongside other stars like Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and Keegan-Michael Key. The sequel will also introduce new characters like Yoshi, Bowser Jr., and Rosalina.
According to reports, Fox McCloud’s inclusion in the movie was a surprise, but keen-eyed Nintendo fans had spotted a hint of him in a recent trailer. Fox is a prominent character in the ‘Star Fox’ games and a familiar face in Nintendo’s ‘Super Smash Bros’ series. Notably, Fox has been a playable character in every ‘Smash Bros’ game, alongside other iconic Nintendo characters.
