The Anti-Auto Theft Squad in Delhi captured a notorious female drug peddler involved in distributing synthetic drugs like heroin. The police recovered over 112 grams of heroin from her possession. The accused, Meena (Meenu), had recently been released on bail in another drug-related case but was found engaging in drug peddling activities again.
The operation was based on credible information about drug suppliers in South Delhi and nearby areas. The police set a trap near Tyagraj Stadium in INA Colony, where they intercepted the accused during a drug delivery attempt. Subsequent searches confirmed the recovered substance as heroin/smack using a Narcotic Field Testing Kit.
A case has been filed under the NDPS Act at Police Station Kotla Mubarak Pur, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the drug network’s connections. Meena, a 40-year-old resident of Karol Bagh, Delhi, was identified as a supplier of synthetic drugs to local consumers and peddlers. The police also seized two mobile phones from her possession.
The accused has a history of involvement in NDPS cases at PS DBG Road and PS Inderpuri. The successful operation was led by Inspector Umesh Yadav under the supervision of Arvind Kumar, Additional DCP (Operations), South District. DCP South District Anant Mittal, IPS, commended the team for their efforts in apprehending the accused and disrupting part of the drug supply chain.
