The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Delhi Police’s Central District has successfully rescued two kidnapped minor girls from Bihar. This operation involved technical surveillance, intelligence gathering, and coordination with local police. With these rescues, the unit has now found and brought back a total of 46 missing individuals this year.

According to a press release by the Central District Police, the operation resulted in the recovery of two minor girls involved in separate kidnapping cases at Paharganj and Anand Parbat police stations. The investigation included analyzing footage from 65 CCTV cameras and checking around 140 orphanages, shelter homes, religious places, and red-light areas. The search spanned multiple states before the girls were located in Bihar.

Delhi Police stated that the interstate search led to the safe recovery of the two kidnapped girls from Bihar. The first victim, identified as “K.K.”, aged 13, went missing from Paharganj. The breakthrough came after the team received specific secret information and tracked a mobile number linked to the girl, eventually locating her in Saharsa, Bihar.

The second victim, identified as “N.K.”, aged 15, disappeared from Anand Parbat. Police received credible information that she was seen in Benipatti, Madhubani district in Bihar. Despite challenges like kidnappers changing locations and SIM cards to evade detection, the AHTU team persisted until both girls were safely rescued and brought back to Delhi.

The operation was conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit team under the supervision of Inspector Anil Yadav and ACP/DIU Sunil Kumar. This successful rescue operation has brought the AHTU’s total recoveries to 46 missing persons this year.
