The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir reported the arrest of two drug peddlers from Punjab and the seizure of 79 grams of heroin in Srinagar and Budgam districts. In the first operation, Ajay Kumar, a Punjab resident, was apprehended in Srinagar with 42 grams of heroin. The accused had allegedly brought the contraband from Punjab for distribution in the Gangbugh area.

In a separate operation, the ANTF Kashmir detained Jhon Masih, also from Punjab, in Budgam district, with 37 grams of heroin. FIRs have been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for both cases. The ANTF Kashmir is investigating the drug supply chain connections and other individuals involved in the illegal trade.

The ANTF Kashmir emphasizes its dedication to combating drug smuggling and disrupting narcotics networks. The public is encouraged to assist law enforcement by providing credible information on drug trafficking to protect the youth and maintain a drug-free environment in Jammu & Kashmir.
