Apple experienced a successful year in 2025, with iPhone shipments increasing by 24% compared to the previous year. In contrast, iPad shipments only grew by 2% during the same period, as reported by CyberMedia Research (CMR).
Prabhu Ram, VP-Industry Research Group at CMR, noted that Apple’s performance in India for 2025 showcased strong demand dynamics. The iPhone 16 series emerged as the top performer, constituting 57% of total iPhone shipments and becoming the most successful model of the year.
Despite a slight 3% decline in iPhone shipments in Q4 2025 compared to the previous year, iPads saw a substantial 95% year-on-year growth in the same quarter. This shift indicated a late-year surge in iPad demand, contrasting with the iPhone’s dominance throughout the year.
In Q4 2025, the iPhone 16 series maintained its lead with a 50% market share, followed by the iPhone 17 series at 24% and the iPhone 15 series at 17%. On the iPad front, the iPad 11 series stood out in 2025, commanding 68% of total iPad shipments for the year.
