Three armed miscreants robbed approximately Rs 1.70 lakh from a Customer Service Point (CSP) of the Central Bank of India in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district. The incident, captured on CCTV cameras, occurred in the Riga police station area. The robbery took place at the Central Bank CSP in Anhadi village, where the suspects threatened the operator with a pistol and looted cash from the counter and the operator’s pockets.
Police authorities have launched an investigation into the robbery. The suspects arrived on an Apache motorcycle, pulled down the shutter to prevent entry or exit, and fled with the stolen money. The police, after being informed about the incident, reached the scene, examined the area, and are now reviewing CCTV footage from the CSP and nearby locations to identify the suspects and track their movements.
Rajiv Kumar Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Riga Police Station, stated that the police have identified the suspected robbers and are conducting raids to apprehend them. He expressed confidence in resolving the case soon while the investigation continues. The daylight robbery has raised concerns about security in the region, prompting local residents to urge authorities to arrest the accused promptly and enhance security measures to prevent future incidents.
