Haryana’s Shiva Narwal came close to a medal, finishing fourth, while Navy shooters Aakash Bhardwaj and Ujjawal Malik secured fifth and sixth place, respectively. The intense qualification round saw Malik topping the list, followed by other skilled shooters like Rahul Serawat and Shiva Narwal. The competition highlighted the depth and competitiveness in men’s air pistol shooting.
In another event, Tamil Nadu triumphed over Madhya Pradesh in the Senior Trap Mixed Team match, with Olympian R. Prithviraj Tondaiman leading the charge. The bronze went to Rajasthan after a hard-fought battle with Haryana. The qualification round set the stage for a thrilling final, showcasing the talent and determination of the participants.
Jonathan Gavin Antony continued his stellar performance by winning the Youth Men’s final with a composed display. He later secured gold in the Junior Men’s final, showing remarkable consistency under pressure.
