Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd) lauded PM Modi’s ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative for strengthening cultural bonds nationwide. Speaking at Rajasthan Diwas celebrations in Itanagar, he emphasized Rajasthan’s tourism, entrepreneurship, and social values. The Governor urged support for Arunachal Pradesh’s growth, especially through tourism promotion and socio-economic contributions.
Lt Gen Parnaik encouraged citizen engagement in waste management and tackling social issues like drug abuse and tuberculosis. He stressed collective responsibility for a developed India. The Governor expressed satisfaction at the youth’s growing appreciation of diverse state cultures.
First Lady Anagha Parnaik and Rajasthani community members in Arunachal Pradesh joined the celebrations. The Governor praised their contributions to the state’s development and their commitment to preserving cultural traditions. Students from the Donyi Polo Mission School for Hearing and Visually Impaired presented a patriotic dance.
The event showcased Rajasthan’s cultural heritage through various performances. Lt Gen Parnaik, associated with the Rajputana Rifles regiment, interacted with guests and shared traditional delicacies. In Meghalaya, Lok Bhavan in Shillong marked Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha’s Foundation Day with cultural programs, highlighting their historical and religious heritage.
