The Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP national convenor, and former Delhi Chief Minister, in the excise policy case. Following the court’s decision, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, expressed that truth always prevails. The court ruled that there was no evidence against the two leaders, emphasizing the need for a fair investigation for a fair trial.

The court found that the prosecution failed to substantiate its allegations against Arvind Kejriwal and Sunita Kejriwal. The case also involved Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 21 other individuals. The CBI had alleged that a significant sum of money was paid to influence the excise policy, which was later cancelled.

The court’s verdict, after detailed arguments, highlighted the insufficiency of evidence to support the charges. This legal relief marks the end of a long-standing investigation that had been closely watched. Arvind Kejriwal and Sunita Kejriwal’s acquittal brings closure to a case that had been ongoing for several years.
