Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed his views on social media platform X following a Delhi High Court judge’s decision to recuse herself from hearing the CBI’s plea against the discharge of AAP leaders. While Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma withdrew from this particular case, she confirmed that she would proceed with the criminal contempt proceedings against the AAP leaders.

In her statement, Justice Sharma highlighted that the attacks against her were not just personal but also aimed at undermining the judiciary as a whole. She pointed out that the actions of Kejriwal, Sisodia, and Pathak could be considered as criminal contempt under the Contempt of Courts Act.

The judge emphasized the dangers of allowing such campaigns to influence the judiciary, stating that it could set a precedent for organized public pressure on courts. She condemned the circulation of manipulated videos online, describing them as defamatory and contemptuous.
