Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticized Raijor Dal President Akhil Gogoi, calling him a source of entertainment for politicians due to his social media activities. Sarma suggested that Gogoi’s Facebook live sessions were for amusement rather than serious consideration. He also downplayed Gogoi’s accusations of electoral malpractice during the voter roll revision, emphasizing the need for fair elections and opposition parties’ right to address legitimate concerns.
BJP spokesperson Kamal Kumar Medhi dismissed Gogoi’s allegations as fictional stories, claiming a history of baseless accusations over the past two decades. Medhi highlighted Gogoi’s tendency to fabricate narratives for personal gain, leading to a loss of credibility among the public. He described Gogoi’s repeated storytelling as a mere source of entertainment, suggesting that the public no longer takes his statements seriously.
