Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, criticized Congress leader Pawan Khera for sharing what she called “poorly fabricated” documents and warned of legal consequences. Sarma pointed out flaws in the claims and documents circulated by Khera, questioning his diligence as a national party spokesperson.
In a social media post, Sarma highlighted the inadequacies in the alleged documents and criticized Khera for what she termed as “imaginary passports and documents.” She emphasized the initiation of criminal charges and indicated a legal course of action against Khera and the Congress party.
The response from Riniki Bhuyan Sarma follows a political dispute triggered by Khera’s accusations against the Assam Chief Minister’s family, which have been vehemently denied by both Himanta Biswa Sarma and his wife. The Chief Minister dismissed the circulated documents as “fabricated” and part of a “malicious propaganda campaign,” pointing out inconsistencies and digital manipulation in the materials.
