Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Gaurav Gogoi stated that the party will honor the people’s decision in the recent Assembly elections and continue working towards the state’s progress. Gogoi, addressing a press conference, expressed gratitude to voters who supported the Congress and emphasized reaching out to those who did not. He praised the dedication of party workers, highlighting their resilience during the challenging campaign.

Gogoi extended thanks to senior party leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Jitendra Singh for their backing throughout the election process. Despite falling short of seat expectations, he assured that the Congress would actively contribute to the state’s development within and outside the Assembly. Gogoi acknowledged the unexpected results in various constituencies and hinted at concerns regarding the election outcome.

The APCC Chief announced a forthcoming meeting on May 9 with newly elected Congress MLAs to strategize the party’s future actions post the electoral results.
