The Assam Rifles initiated the 13-day “Eastern Edge Expedition” from Pangsau Pass on the India–Myanmar border in Arunachal Pradesh, set to conclude in Jorhat, Assam. This expedition, in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, is part of ‘Operation Sadbhavana 2025–26’ to honor the resilience and unity of the northeast. It aims to exhibit the region’s beauty, culture, and potential while promoting unity and national integration.
Covering tough terrains and remote paths, the rally pays tribute to the endurance of both the armed forces and the Northeast residents. The expedition involves 24 bikers, with 12 each from Assam Rifles and Hero MotoCorp, highlighting teamwork and civil-military cooperation. This joint effort emphasizes adventure tourism, youth engagement, and regional connectivity, strengthening ties between the military and corporate sectors.
