Voters in Assam participated enthusiastically in the Assembly elections, with a significant voter turnout. The main contenders are the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress, both vying for power.

Union Minister of State Pabitra Margarita emphasized the importance of voting, calling it a celebration of democracy. In Diphu, BJP candidate Surya Rongphar expressed confidence in his party’s performance and the support from the people.

Despite adverse weather conditions in some areas, voters showed determination to fulfill their civic duty. Polling stations were well-prepared, offering various facilities to ensure a smooth voting process.

Long queues were witnessed at polling stations across Kamrup, indicating a high level of voter engagement and interest in the election. Voters expressed their expectations for the new government to focus on development and infrastructure in Assam.
