An Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, the sister of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, due to her absence at court hearings related to the November 2024 protest. The court refused to accept Aleema Khan’s request for exemption and directed the police to arrest her and freeze her bank accounts until she appears in court.

During the protest on November 26, 2024, Aleema Khan and 10 others faced charges after PTI supporters clashed with law enforcement agencies in Islamabad. The court emphasized that Aleema Khan cannot dictate terms to the court and must comply with the trial proceedings conducted on a daily basis.

In a separate incident, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court against the alleged detention of over 180 party workers during raids in Karachi and other parts of Sindh under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. PTI accused the Sindh police of conducting pre-dawn raids and demanded the immediate release of the detained party workers.
