Avani Prashanth improved her position to Tied-22nd with a solid 4-under 68 in the PIF Saudi Ladies International Championship at Riyadh Golf Club. She recorded five birdies and one bogey, giving her a chance to move up further with one day remaining. Aditi Ashok and Pranavi Urs, the other Indian participants, were placed T-54 and T-57 respectively.
Hye-Jinn Choi of Korea reclaimed the lead with a 65, tying with Japan’s Rio Takeda at 15-under. Cassandra Alexander from South Africa secured the third spot. Among the Indian players, Avani Prashanth stood out by reaching 4-under, while Aditi Ashok and Pranavi Urs also made the cut, ensuring their presence over the weekend.
Diksha Dagar narrowly missed the cut despite a commendable effort, finishing 1-under for two rounds. Hitaashee Bakshi also failed to advance. Avani Prashanth, starting strongly from the tenth tee, recovered well after a shaky start, finishing with three birdies to position herself for a potential climb in the upcoming rounds. Aditi Ashok, on the other hand, overcame an early setback to card a 69.
