Another Baloch civilian was reportedly extrajudicially killed by Pakistani forces in Balochistan, as per a human rights organization. This incident adds to a series of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances in the region. The victim, identified as 28-year-old Noshad Ahmed, was allegedly targeted and killed by a Pakistan-backed death squad on June 1 in the Panjgur district.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stated that armed members of the death squad shot Noshad on Chedagi Road, leading to his immediate death. The open attack on a public road has heightened fear among local residents, impacting affected families and communities. The BYC emphasized the ongoing human rights issues in Balochistan, where civilians face violence and insecurity, leaving families struggling for justice.
The BYC condemned the killing, citing it as a grim example of the violence and human rights violations in Balochistan. The organization urged human rights bodies to address the dire situation in the region and ensure justice for Noshad Ahmed. The repeated incidents of violence in Balochistan underscore a troubling trend where families seek answers and accountability for their lost loved ones.
Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) also expressed concern over enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces in Panjgur. The BVJ highlighted cases like Najam’s disappearance from Washbood region and enforced disappearances of Ishaq and Shahnawaz. These incidents underscore the human rights crisis faced by the people of Balochistan, causing immense suffering for families awaiting justice and accountability.
