Another Baloch student, Imran Taj, was reportedly extrajudicially killed by Pakistani forces in Balochistan, as disclosed by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). Imran Taj, a 26-year-old student at the University of Turbat, was found dead in Turbat city after being missing for nine months. The BYC condemned the incident and highlighted the increasing enforced disappearances and violence in Balochistan.
The BYC urged international human rights organizations and the United Nations to address the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan, emphasizing the need to protect the rights and safety of the Baloch people. The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) also expressed deep concern over the rising violence in the region, attributing it to both Pakistani forces and non-state actors. The HRCB cited a recent attack in the Minaz area of Kech district that resulted in casualties, including women and children, condemning the violence as a severe violation of human rights.
The HRCB emphasized that the killing of innocent civilians, especially women and children, is unacceptable and goes against fundamental human rights principles. Such acts of violence were deemed unjustifiable, regardless of any political motives or security reasons, according to the HRCB.
