Opener Tanzid Hasan climbed 14 spots to 40th in the ODI batter rankings after his solid 76-run contribution in the chase. The bowling department also saw improvements, with spinner Rishad Hossain moving up 10 places to joint 58th and fast bowler Nahid Rana jumping 32 spots to 64th after claiming six wickets in the match. Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam re-entered the rankings at 39th in ODI cricket due to his consistent wicket-taking performances.
Even though not actively playing in the ongoing matches, Daryl Mitchell maintained his position at the top of the ODI batter rankings, underscoring his reliability in the format.
In T20Is, Scotland’s victory over Namibia brought about significant changes in the rankings. Veteran opener George Munsey rose seven spots to joint 21st after his match-winning century in the final game. Towhid Hridoy’s contributions, moving him up five places to joint 26th, highlighted the importance of middle-order performances. Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus excelled in the series, scoring 145 runs to climb 24 spots to 73rd among T20I batters and reaching 10th place in the all-rounder rankings. Scotland’s Mark Watt also progressed, moving up 10 spots to 47th among T20I bowlers.
Shafali Verma continued her upward trajectory in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings, nearing the top five, while India captain Harmanpreet Kaur approached a return to the top 10 following the latest rankings update.
