Bangladesh has brought back Litton Das, fast bowlers Nahid Rana, and Shoriful Islam to their ODI squad for the upcoming series against Pakistan, starting on March 11 in Mirpur. Chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain mentioned that the team’s focus is on strengthening the middle order due to the underperformance of some players.
Afif Hossain has been included in the squad as part of this strategy, with the selectors emphasizing his experience and current good form. Litton Das, despite recent struggles in ODIs, is being backed for his vast international experience and is seen as a potential asset to bolster the middle order.
In the absence of Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who are recovering from injuries, Bangladesh will rely on a mix of experienced and new players for the series. The squad includes players like Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Soumya Sarkar, and Mustafizur Rahman, among others.
