Bangladesh will be without fast bowler Ebadot Hossain in the upcoming two-Test series against Australia as he prepares to welcome his first child. The series, part of the World Test Championship, is set to begin in Darwin on August 13. Meanwhile, pace spearhead Taskin Ahmed has opted out of the Lankan Premier League to focus on preparations for the Australia tour.

Taskin Ahmed, who was supposed to play for the Jaffna Kings in the LPL, decided to withdraw to ensure he is fully ready for the Australia tour. Bangladesh is also awaiting the scan results for Nahid Rana to determine his availability for the opening Test match against Australia. Additionally, the team hopes that Litton Das will recover from a calf injury in time to play against Australia.

The Bangladesh team is gearing up for the series with a three-day warm-up match against a Cricket Australia XI on August 3 in Darwin. Batting coach Mohammad Ashraful is optimistic about the early arrival in Australia, providing ample time for practice. Ashraful is hopeful that with a full squad of fit players, Bangladesh can put up a strong performance in the upcoming series.
