The President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Mithun Manhas, extended congratulations to Secretary Devajit Saikia for his recent appointments within the International Cricket Council (ICC). Saikia was elected Chair of the ICC Governance Review Committee and named a member of the ICC Franchise Leagues Committee during the ICC’s Annual Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Saikia will lead the Governance Review Committee alongside Dr. Mohammed Moosajee from Cricket South Africa and Dr. Ros Rivaz, an ICC Independent Director. Additionally, he joins the Franchise Leagues Committee chaired by Tamim Iqbal, the President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Manhas commended Saikia’s dedication to cricket administration, describing the appointments as a testament to his valuable contributions and expressing confidence in Saikia’s ability to enhance the global growth of the sport.
