The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to hold its annual awards ceremony on March 15 in New Delhi. The event, named ‘NAMAN’, will recognize five Indian teams that secured ICC trophies in the past year. Secretary Devajit Saikia mentioned that the ceremony will applaud India’s success in various ICC events and acknowledge outstanding performances in both international and domestic matches during the 2024/25 season.
The awards night will witness the presence of ICC tournament victors, including the recent T20 World Cup champions and coaches. Notably, the senior men’s team, senior women’s team, U19 boys side, and U19 girls team, all triumphant in 2025, will be among the invitees. The venue for the ceremony, a five-star hotel in New Delhi near the airport, has been chosen to accommodate the men’s team players who are scheduled to join their IPL franchises for pre-season camps ahead of the competition starting on March 28.
Saikia also highlighted that the 2025 Champions Trophy-winning squad will be recognized during the event. He emphasized that all members of the five Indian teams that clinched ICC trophies in the past year will be honored, promising an exceptional evening. Additionally, the BCCI recently announced a cash reward of Rs 131 crore for the victorious 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup team and its support staff, marking a significant increase from the previous prize money for the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup winners.
Regarding the breakdown of the prize money for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup champions, Saikia assured that details would be disclosed soon. The total reward of Rs 131 crore represents an unprecedented sum awarded by the BCCI to any successful Indian team.
