Actress Bhumi Pednekar has backed the Pink E-Rickshaw initiative, emphasizing the need to create opportunities for women. The initiative, spearheaded by the Bhamla Foundation, aims to empower women by providing them with e-rickshaws for financial independence and self-reliance. Bhumi Pednekar expressed optimism that the initiative, which kickstarted with 1,000 rickshaws in Mumbai and targets 12,000 for Maharashtra, will expand nationwide. She underscored the importance of women’s capabilities in driving the progress and safety of the country.
At the launch of the Bhamla Foundation’s #DriveHerFuture initiative, Bhumi Pednekar, Saher Bhamla, and Amruta Fadnavis were present. Amruta lauded the initiative for its focus on environmental sustainability and women’s empowerment. The Pink E-Rickshaw initiative not only provides women with independence and livelihood but also contributes to environmental sustainability through electric rickshaws.
