The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar is gearing up for the upcoming broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, April 26. A preparatory meeting was recently held at the state BJP office in Patna, with Mandal presidents and programme coordinators virtually participating to plan for the 133rd edition of the programme.
During the meeting, state BJP President Sanjay Saraogi highlighted the significance of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ as a platform for direct citizen engagement by the Prime Minister. He stressed the importance of broadcasting the programme at every polling booth to maximize public participation and outreach, aiming to convey the Prime Minister’s messages across all booths through organizational strength and public involvement.
State Organisation General Secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsaniya also provided guidance for the programme’s execution during the meeting, which included discussions on event structure, organizational coordination, and strategies for enhancing public participation. State Vice President and programme coordinator Rajendra Singh, along with the state-level team, outlined plans to ensure the event’s impact and effectiveness.
‘Mann Ki Baat’ primarily focuses on national issues, public participation, and key campaigns such as ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, covering themes like sanitation, women’s empowerment, sports, science, art, and culture. The programme has become a vital communication channel between PM Modi and citizens, promoting the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). The April 26 broadcast holds significance as it coincides with the approaching second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections.
