Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary led a significant Cabinet meeting where 63 schemes were greenlit, emphasizing infrastructure development, administrative expansion, and financial strengthening. Among the approvals, a 73.51 km 4-lane Greenfield road from Darihara to Dumariaghat was sanctioned under a PPP model by Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited. The Cabinet also gave the nod for the Buxar–Arrah–Maner Ganga Path project spanning 90 km to be developed under PPP.
Another notable decision was the allocation of over 2 acres of land in Patna to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for 30 years, with a token payment of Rs 10, aimed at enhancing fashion and design education in the state. Additionally, Rs 51.19 crore was approved for constructing buildings for the Cyber Crime Unit and Special Branch in Patna, along with creating 23 posts in the Finance Department for a Cyber Treasury setup, focusing on modernizing governance and digital financial management.
The Cabinet also raised the Bihar Contingency Fund from Rs 350 crore to Rs 13,900 crore for the financial year 2026–27, significantly bolstering the state’s emergency financial capacity. Furthermore, the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park in Patna was renamed Patna Zoo, with the managing body now known as the Patna Zoo Management and Development Committee. These decisions underscore the government’s commitment to infrastructure expansion, educational development, digital governance, and financial readiness, aiming to propel overall growth and administrative efficiency in Bihar.
