After winning a vote of confidence in the Bihar Assembly, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary visited former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence on 1, Anee Marg. The meeting, attended by Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, lasted around 20 minutes. Speculation suggests the discussion centered on the anticipated Cabinet expansion in Bihar.
During the floor test debate, Chief Minister Choudhary praised Nitish Kumar, acknowledging his significant role in establishing good governance in Bihar. Choudhary expressed confidence in Bihar’s continued progress under Kumar’s leadership, highlighting his efforts to uplift farmers, laborers, and the underprivileged. The Chief Minister emphasized initiatives like creating job opportunities, enforcing a liquor ban, and promoting women’s empowerment.
Choudhary clarified that the Bharatiya Janata Party had entrusted him with crucial responsibilities, emphasizing that positions of power are a public trust. Despite the new government formation, Bihar’s Cabinet expansion is pending. Currently, Chief Minister Choudhary, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, manage all departments. The political arena eagerly anticipates the upcoming Cabinet expansion.
Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also met with Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav to discuss various issues earlier on the same day.
