Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar visited Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) to inaugurate the Radiology Department in Tower-3. He also inspected various hospital departments and reviewed the newly installed medical equipment and diagnostic facilities. Kumar emphasized the importance of quality treatment and healthcare services for patients, directing officials to address any issues promptly.
Following the inauguration, the minister oversaw ongoing construction and modernization projects at PMCH. He urged officials to complete pending tasks within set timelines while upholding quality standards. PMCH is undergoing significant redevelopment to enhance healthcare services and expand patient capacity with over 5,500 beds. Kumar also interacted with patients and their attendants to address their concerns, including a complaint about nursing services.
Acknowledging previous complaints about PMCH’s conditions and services, Kumar vowed to take corrective actions through surprise inspections and regular monitoring. The visit aims to strengthen accountability and enhance patient care at one of Bihar’s largest government hospitals.
