The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has issued an advisory ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, cautioning candidates and the public to be vigilant against rumors, misinformation, and cyber fraud. Serving as the state-level nodal agency for ensuring fair conduct of examinations, the EOU emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency during the upcoming re-examination scheduled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 21 in various centers across Bihar. The EOU highlighted the potential risks posed by anti-social elements and cyber fraudsters who may attempt to spread false information through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp, and X.
Such malicious activities could compromise the integrity of the examination process, the EOU warned, urging candidates and guardians to stay alert and adhere to safety guidelines. In case of any unsolicited offers of leaked question papers, answer keys, or false promises of success in exchange for money, individuals are advised to report the matter promptly to the nearest police or cyber police station. Furthermore, recipients are advised not to share unverified messages or misleading content related to the examination to prevent the circulation of false information.
If any unauthorized distribution of question papers or answer keys is noticed on social media, individuals are encouraged to inform the police immediately, providing details of the concerned social media account and URL for verification purposes. The EOU also called on the public to report any suspicious activities or attempts to disrupt the examination process, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the re-examination. Citizens were reminded to share any relevant information regarding irregularities or malpractice during the examination directly with the Economic Offences Unit through specified contact channels.
