As Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Union Budget 2026, the BJP praised it as a people-centric budget under the motto ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, aiming to propel India from the fourth-largest to the third-largest economy globally. Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia emphasized the budget’s broad impact on various sectors of the Indian economy, highlighting a significant boost for areas like telecom and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).
The budget, according to Scindia, aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision to leverage India’s growth potential, showcasing notable achievements such as a growth rate nearing 7.5%, effective inflation control, and a substantial rise in capital expenditure from previous years. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary appreciated the Finance Minister for outlining a clear long-term roadmap, envisioning India’s trajectory towards becoming the third-largest economy.
BJP members, including national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain and MPs like Vivek Thakur, Raju Bista, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, and Shashank Mani Tripathi, lauded the budget for its forward-looking approach and comprehensive coverage of various aspects essential for India’s development. Madhya Pradesh Minister Tulsi Ram Silawat described the budget as a reflection of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, emphasizing its inclusive nature and focus on progress and growth. BJP MP Dinesh Sharma highlighted the budget’s support for youth, women, farmers, and entrepreneurs, encompassing key sectors like education, healthcare, startups, tourism, transport, and exports.
