Elated over the BJP’s success in the Municipal Corporation elections, BJP National Vice-President Saudan Singh extended his greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh, party leadership, and workers. The BJP secured victory in 37 out of 63 wards, achieving a success rate of 59% across four Municipal Corporations. Additionally, BJP-backed candidates triumphed in 3,759 panchayats, marking a historic win.
“The BJP’s triumph in Mandi, Dharamsala, and Solan Municipal Corporations is remarkable,” stated Saudan Singh. In Mandi, the party won 12 out of 14 seats, securing an 86% success rate. Dharamsala saw the BJP winning 11 out of 17 seats, while Solan secured victory in 10 out of 17 seats. The results, according to him, reflect the voice of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Saudan Singh emphasized that the victory signifies public support for development, good governance, and public service. He attributed the win to the Central government’s public welfare programs and decisions under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The people’s endorsement of PM Modi’s leadership and the BJP’s organizational strength down to the booth level were highlighted as key factors in the election results.
Congratulating state BJP President Rajeev Bindal and other elected representatives, Saudan Singh affirmed the party’s commitment to the state’s development. Meanwhile, Bindal accused the Congress government of attempting horse-trading by altering rules governing Panchayati Raj institutions’ elections. He criticized the government’s actions as unconstitutional and a betrayal of the public mandate.
