The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas at its national headquarters, honoring India’s armed forces for their bravery during the 1999 Kargil War. The event saw the presence of family members of martyrs, retired military officers, and distinguished dignitaries.
Notable attendees included Lt. Gen. V. K. Chaturvedi (Retd.), former Army chief Gen. Deepak Kapoor (Retd.), Air Chief Marshal R. K. S. Bhadauria (Retd.), and Col. V. N. Thapar (Retd.), father of martyr Captain Vijayant Thapar. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh paid tribute to the heroes who secured India’s victory.
Arun Singh emphasized that the commemoration was more than ceremonial, highlighting the nation’s commitment to unity and integrity. He mentioned initiatives like the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and upcoming Tiranga Yatras, aiming to honor the brave sons of India. The BJP’s dedication to honoring soldiers and their families was underscored during the event.
