The BJP criticized Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for his derogatory comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari condemned Raut’s remarks, stating that such criticism disrespects the mandate of millions of Indians. Bhandari emphasized that insulting PM Modi is akin to disrespecting the trust of 140 crore Indians in his leadership.
In response to Raut’s comments, Bhandari highlighted that the opposition’s attacks on PM Modi are driven by their inability to challenge him electorally. He accused the INDIA bloc of targeting the Prime Minister to safeguard their own political interests and family-based politics. Bhandari underscored that such actions not only insult PM Modi but also the entire Indian population who have repeatedly elected him as their leader.
The BJP’s reaction came after Sanjay Raut’s scathing remarks during a media interaction in Pune, where he criticized PM Modi and the BJP leadership. Raut alleged that PM Modi is the most ruthless leader in the country and claimed that under his and Amit Shah’s politics, political corruption has peaked. Furthermore, Raut suggested that there is internal discontent within the BJP, with many leaders remaining silent out of fear of central investigative agencies like the ED and CBI.
