The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) initiated a countrywide public awareness initiative named ‘VB–G RAM G Janjagaran Abhiyan’ to promote and elucidate the provisions of the recently enacted VB–G RAM G Act, 2025. Led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the campaign will mainly target rural areas and was authorized by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh on January 4, 2026.
The campaign’s objective is to directly reach farmers, agricultural workers, and rural populations with the essential advantages of the VB-G RAM G scheme. The BJP views this Act as a significant reform in line with the Viksit Bharat vision, positioning it as a transformative option to MGNREGA. The scheme aims to hasten rural development, boost the rural economy, combat corruption, and broaden job opportunities, including increasing guaranteed employment from 100 to 125 days.
The Janjagaran Abhiyan is structured to simplify the scheme’s benefits, especially in contrast to MGNREGA, counter alleged misinformation by the Opposition labeling it as anti-farmer or anti-poor, and reaffirm the Prime Minister’s support for farmers and laborers. It is also portrayed as a vital component of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision for holistic rural transformation. Detailed plans include forming state and district-level committees, conducting press conferences, and organizing various meetings and outreach programs at different administrative levels.
Public engagement activities like Kisan Padayatras, tractor rallies, and bullock cart rallies will be held to mobilize support at the grassroots level. The coordination of the Janjagaran Abhiyan will be overseen by Arun Singh and key BJP leaders to ensure effective communication of the VB-G RAM G Act’s objectives and long-term implications for India’s rural development strategy.
