Opposition Leader and senior BJP figure R. Ashoka criticized the Karnataka government, alleging its plans would lead to financial distress for the state. He announced that BJP and JD(S) would collaborate to oppose the government in the upcoming Budget Session. Ashoka highlighted issues such as the addition of more backward taluks due to the previous administration’s decisions.
Speaking at a press conference, Ashoka emphasized the need to address the errors made during the Congress rule. He pointed out that the government’s decision to appoint 56,000 individuals fell short of the BJP’s demand for 2 lakh posts. Ashoka also mentioned the government’s upcoming court filing regarding internal reservation matters.
Ashoka further criticized the government for various shortcomings, including delays in purchasing essential medicines for public hospitals. He expressed concerns over the Health Department’s budget cuts and alleged corruption within the system. The BJP leader raised issues related to e-Khata provision, bribery allegations, and financial mismanagement in different departments.
