Amid concerns about hotels in Bengaluru closing due to alleged LPG cylinder shortages, Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran stated that there is no nationwide scarcity of cylinders. The Union government has prioritized supplying domestic LPG cylinders, emphasizing their essential status and warning against hoarding.
Nagenthran refuted claims of a gas shortage, affirming the stable supply system and fair distribution of LPG cylinders in India. He clarified that households can book a new cylinder only after 20 days, ensuring ample availability. The BJP leader also denied links between reduced menu options at some hotels and LPG shortages.
Expressing confidence in India’s energy security, Nagenthran assured that global disruptions would not impact the country’s economic stability. As concerns over LPG supply rise, government officials have reassured the public of adequate availability and continued priority for domestic consumers.
