BJP State Vice-President Malavika Avinash expressed joy over the women’s reservation bill, calling it a global celebration for women. She praised the Prime Minister’s decision, emphasizing the importance of women in driving India’s development by 2047.
Avinash highlighted the upcoming special parliamentary session convened by PM Modi to discuss providing 33% reservation for women in politics. She urged political parties not to politicize the issue, seeing it as a significant move towards empowering women in leadership roles.
The BJP leader mentioned various government initiatives aimed at women’s welfare, such as the Swachh Bharat mission, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, and support for self-help groups. She also noted the implementation of schemes like Bhagyalakshmi and initiatives in Karnataka for women’s empowerment.
